Specialiști pentru un curriculum integrat

In perioada 10 august 2015 - 9 august 2016, Colegiul National „Elena Ghiba Birta” Arad a implementat proiectul Erasmus+ “Specialisti pentru un curriculum integrat”, Actiune cheie 1: Proiecte de mobilitate, Domeniul: Educatie scolara, Tip actiune: Mobilitati ale cadrelor didactice. Scopul proiectului a fost formarea si activarea unei echipe de cadre didactice abilitate in dezvoltarea competentelor cheie digitale si lingvistice de comunicare intr-o limba de circulatie internationala prin integrarea directa, continua si eficienta in procesul didactic a resurselor aproape infinite oferite de internet si de soft-urile educationale, in vederea implementarii unui curriculum integrat.

Scopul propus a fost atins prin realizarea urmatoarelor obiective generale: dobandirea de cunostinte, deprinderi si competențe legate de dezvoltarea competentei cheie digitala si a competentei cheie ligvistica de comunicare in limba engleza,  dobandirea de competente in vederea implementarii cu succes a unui proces didactic care integreaza tehnologia si comunicarea in limba engleza la alte discipline, cresterea inovatiei, flexibilitatii si creativitatii cadrelor didactice prin cunoasterea si intelegerea practicilor de success din alte tari UE, formarea si activarea unei echipe de 12 cadre didactice in vederea aplicarii de noi abordari in procesul didactic si in formarea altor cadre didactice.

In cadrul a doua mobilitati,  un numar de doisprezece profesori din diverse arii curriculare au luat parte la cursurile  ”CLIL- Methodology & ICT Tools for Teachers Working with CLIL” si ” TEL: Technology Enhanced Learning” oferite de Executive Training Institute Malta. Aceasta participare a fost o excelenta oportunitate pentru grupul de profesori de a se angaja in noi experiente de invatare – alaturi de cadre didactice de diverse specialitati din tari precum Spania, Germania, Irlanda, Croatia, Ungaria, Letonia, Lituania, Cehia, Polonia sau Finlanda – de a-si dezvolta competente privind integrarea unor elemente de continut in limba engleza la diferite discipline, precum si a instrumentelor IT in demersul didactic.

Activitatea de implementare la nivelul scolii s-a concretizat in folosirea elementelor CLIL si TEL in proiectarea didactica, in invatare, in diverse tipuri de evaluare. Introducerea in cadrul lectiilor a spatiilor si proiectelor Wiki, PBworks, WebQuest, folosirea aplicatiilor Puzzlemaker, MovieMaker, Lino, Mindomo, Creaza, Hot Potatoes, Wix, Socrative, Storybird pentru crearea unor sarcini de lucru, exercitii sau teste a insemnat o activitate sustinuta a profesorilor pentru conceperea si proiectarea acestor noi demersuri didactice. Folosirea acestor metode si instrumente alternative a avut ca efecte directe promovarea invatarii si predarii personalizate, flexibile, stimularea entuziasmului pentru studiu intr-o atmosfera de colaborare, dar si asumarea initiativei in procesul de invatare, prin accesarea de acasa a exercitiilor sau site-urilor create de profesori. Rezultatele elevilor, produsele realizate de ei si feedback-ul primit au validat aceste demersuri didactice.

Rezultatele proiectului sunt: o echipa de 5 specialisti CLIL; o echipa de 7 specialisti TEL; 45 de cadre didactice din scoala formate pe tehnici si strategii inovatoare de integrare CLIL si TEL; 2 cursuri optionale care integreaza metodologia CLIL; 207 cadre didactice din judetul Arad formate in tematica CLIL si TEL; 452 de elevi implicati in activitati CLIL si TEL; 1 ghid metodologic digital.

Diseminarea experientelor de invațare a avut loc in diferite contexte: intalniri de lucru ale comisiilor metodice, ale Consiliului Profesoral, in cadrul cercurilor pedagogice, sau in workshop-uri la nivel local si judetean.

Pe termen lung colegiul nostru vizeaza proiecte de colaborare atat cu furnizori de formare profesionala (pentru multiplicarea experientelor si competentelor dobandite in cadrul proiectului), cat si cu alte unitati de invatamant din tara si strainatate pentru continuarea demersului educational care integreaza tehnologia, implica elevii in actul invatarii si ofera o noua perspectiva asupra modului in care scoala pregateste tinerii pentru provocarile lumii contemporane.

 

Elena Ghiba Birta National College in Arad, Romania implemented the Erasmus+ KA1, School education staff mobility project - “Experts for an integrated curriculum” - during August 10, 2015 - August 9, 2016.

The aim of our project was to address our teachers' needs, which we have realised by achieving the following general objectives: gaining new knowledge and improving skills and competences to develop students' digital and linguistic competences; implementing CLIL and TEL successfully across the curriculum; enhancing innovation, flexibility and creativity of teaching staff; forming and activating a team of 12 experts in implementing technology assisted instruction and CLIL methodology.

12 teachers of various subjects (Romanian, English, French, Mathematics, ICT, Chemistry, Geography and primary education subjects) participated in two training courses: ”CLIL- Methodology & ICT Tools for Teachers Working with CLIL” and ”TEL: Technology Enhanced Learning” offered by Executive Training Institute Malta. The participants engaged in new learning opportunities with teachers from other European countries such as: Spain, Germany, Ireland, Croatia, Hungary, Latvia, Lituania, Poland, Finland etc. 

Implementing the new knowledge and competences at school level occurred by means of using CLIL methodology and ICT tools in planning, delivering and evaluating instruction. Our teachers put a lot of effort into incorporating into their lessons the following tools and applications: Wiki, PBworks, WebQuest, Puzzlemaker, MovieMaker, Lino, Mindomo, Creaza, Hot Potatoes, Wix, Socrative, Storybird in order to provide our students personalised instruction, more flexible activities, motivational lessons. The feedback offered by the students and their products validated the new initiatives.

In terms of results obtained and impact of our project, we should like to mention the following: 1 team of 5 CLIL methodology specialists, 1 team of 7 TEL specialists, 45 teachers in our school trained about innovative teaching strategies using CLIL and ICT tools, 2 elective courses integrating CLIL methodology, 207 teachers at county level trained about innovative teaching strategies using CLIL and ICT tools, 452 students actively involved in activities using CLIL and ICT tools, 1 online methodological guide.

In the long run, our school intends to create partnerships with teacher training institutions in order to share the knowledge and competences of our experts, with other schools in Europe, to ensure a positive image in our community and beyond, to improve our students’ results, to surpass the traditional approach by embracing a European dimension of education.
